About Us
Wings4Kidz is a not-for-profit organisation providing a free flight service for children in regional communities, who have serious or life threatening illnesses and are required to travel to major city based hospitals for treatment.
These children and their families are significantly disadvantaged by distance and face significant financial, emotional and travel fatigue stresses to access the essential treatment services which are not available in regional areas. Wings4Kidz flights make a significant difference for children and their families during the most traumatic and stressful challenges a family can face.
Our Team
Starting out with just a few eager and like minded people, the Wings4Kidz team has grown quickly while still remaining 100% volunteer based. We are proudly supported by the wonderful team at Matt Hall Racing, who supply the aircraft and pilots to provide flights for kids and their families. Our team includes pilots, ground staff, volunteers, medical coordinators amongst others.
Our Mission
Having a child diagnosed with a serious medical condition could mean days, weeks or months away from home and the support of family and friends, and having to deal with long difficult treatments in isolation away from the support of your partner and family. In addition, seriously ill kids and families in regional areas could be faced with several hours, or days of travel just to access treatment and accommodation costs of thousands per week.
Our mission is to support these regional kids and families affected by serious illnesses and provide a timely and cost effective way to receive their required emergency and ongoing treatment.
Where We Help
Wings4Kidz provides flight services to regional and remote parts of NSW, as well as cities close to the NSW border.
